Jazz duo In Essence, featuring Iman Spaargaren and Peter Bjornild, presents an intimate, fully acoustic dialogue between saxophone, clarinet, and double bass.
On their album In Essence (2025), they explore both well-known and lesser-known jazz standards, leaving plenty of room for improvisation and subtle interplay. Drawing from their shared background in the Amsterdam music scene, they have developed a lyrical and close musical interaction in which they complement and challenge one another.
Guitarist Lorijn von Piekartz, known for his work with Maan, Jett Rebel, The Voice, Shirma Rouse and many more, will present a new Unplugged Session every day during the 13th edition of Red Light Jazz in the Lounge Bar of the famous The Bulldog Hotel.
For each Red Light Jazz performance, Lorijn brings along a different special guest artist with whom he shares a unique connection. Together, they perform songs that inspire them. They will take you on a musical journey through Soul, Funk, Pop, R&B, and Blues. Get ready to sing, dance, vibe with them, and let yourself be carried away by the amazing music!

If you’re in the mood for an evening filled with Soul, funky Pop rhythms, and charisma that lights up the entire room, then Jared Grant is the perfect choice. You may know him from The Voice! Most recently, he performed twice at a sold-out Rotterdam Ahoy in tribute to Michael Jackson. This is something you do not want to miss!
On Saturday there will be two performances. In between, you are warmly invited to enjoy a bite to eat at the Lounge Bar of The Bulldog Hotel.
