ABOUT YOUR WORK SPACE
You will work in the coziest living room in Amsterdam where no day is the same. You coordinate the ins and outs in the souvenir shops and you also participate yourself (also in the evenings and weekends, this is a must). You play an exemplary role in this. You manage a team of approximately 14 sales employees and you work together with our purchasing and sales manager and the marketing manager to achieve the store goals. These are hard workers, just like you, but they care just as much about having fun. So you will really be included in The Bulldog family!
YOUR WORK ACTIVITIES
We are urgently looking for a store manager to realize a further increase in our store turnover and the day-to-day management of two of our brandstores in Amsterdam. As a store manager you are responsible for the results of both souvenir shops and the vending shop. You analyze the historical results and adjust the policy accordingly. You manage the sales staff and stock management also falls under your responsibilities. You think along and advise on the further development of our B2C range. You draw up the planning and work schedule and you ensure the correct completion of the bookkeeping and administration on a weekly basis. You carry out the checks and analyze the turnover figures. In addition, you and your team ensure an attractive and commercial presentation of the store, which conveys the right look and feel of The Bulldog.
WHAT WE ASK FROM YOU
• You are available full-time (32/40 hours)
• MBO+ thinking-working level, preferably in the retail sector
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a managerial position
• You speak and write fluently Dutch and English
• You are enthusiastic and social, have commercial insight and numerical insight
• Leading by Example; you also work with your team in the evenings and/or weekends
• You have affinity with and knowledge of textiles and retail (and the smokers industry is an advantage)
• You know how to tackle, are solution-oriented and have a hospitable and representative attitude
