Assistant Manager Coffeeshop

ABOUT THIS JOB:

Do you enjoy working at The Bulldog and would you like to grow within our company? Then we are looking for you! For assistance with the daily management of The Bulldog we are looking for a social and passionate assistant manager. You will support our manager of the Coffeeshop in all her duties.

In this position you are jointly responsible for achieving the highest possible turnover and for staff supervising on the floor: you know how to motivate people to give their best performance, you are able to keep control, give our staff instructions and check whether they are performed correctly. You also work on the floor yourself and your performance is an example for others. You are responsible for correct financial processing of the daily turnover: you check staff’s daily remittances. And last but certainly not least, you are jointly responsible for an unforgettable guest experience: transferring the ‘living room of Amsterdam feeling’.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum ‘MBO+’ level (working and thinking);
• At least 3 years experience in the hospitality industry (preferably coffeeshop);
• You have very good communication (Dutch and English) and leadership skills (love to talk and listen);
• You are in possession of an emergency certificate and statement of conduct (VOG) (or willing to achieve);
• It will be expected that you are present / available for at least 4 or 5 days a week on alternating services. You are flexible and have no 9 to 5 mentality.  You are available for your staff members even after working hours;
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit, take charge, are open and enthusiastic in your communications, creative and think further;
• You know how to motivate people and encourage them to be the best version of themselves by having a personal approach. You can empathize;
• You know practically to deal with problems / changes;
• You are prepared to use your physical strength at all times when it comes to daily replenishment work, when receiving orders (organization / structure of storage / overview of sales of products);
• The Bulldog has a special place in your heart, you have a welcoming attitude and representative performance.
