Get a taste of Saint-Tropez in Amsterdam

Get away from the crowds and into the open air at The Bulldog Harbour Grand Café. In the Port of Amsterdam you can imagine you’re by the sea, even though you’re only minutes away from the hustle & bustle of the Amsterdam city centre. Take a seat on our iconic cow-leather seats inside or bathe in the sun at our large patio by the water, where you can admire million-dollar yachts while you’re enjoying your meal.

Since opening Port 26, we’ve fallen in love with the peace and fresh air of the harbour and so have many of our guests. It was only natural to open a Grand Café here as well, so guests could enjoy this location even more.

Take your seat by the water to enjoy the calm, breathe in the fresh air and bathe in the sun. And there’s plenty to see as well. Huge million-dollar yachts owned by the rich and famous are docked only a few metres away. It’ll almost feel like you’re in Saint-Tropez.

Indoors you can expect the famous The Bulldog atmosphere with classic elements like our cow-leather seats. But the real place to be is outside on our sunlit patio by the water, one of the largest in Amsterdam!

The Bulldog Harbour Grand Café was opened as recently as July 2020. It all started with the opening of our coffeeshop The Bulldog Port 26 in 2015, in exchange for The Bulldog Lounge in the Spuistraat. As the city council wanted more coffeeshops to move away from the city centre, The Bulldog didn’t shy away from its responsibility to the community.

Our patio is the perfect setting for a meal with your family or friends and for all kinds of events. From a business lunch to a summer party, we’re eager to make your event a success, complete with BBQ and fantastic service by our staff.

Our menu features a wide array of sandwiches, great specials like fish & chips or hamburgers and plenty of snacks and desserts for in between, all at a surprisingly fair price.

Because The Bulldog Harbour is outside the busy centre of Amsterdam, it’s easy to reach by car and public transport. Our parking lot offers ample parking and is completely free, pretty unique for Amsterdam!

Get to know The Bulldog Harbour

In 2015, we decided to leave our coffeeshop The Bulldog Lounge in the centre and open a new coffeeshop in the Amsterdam Westpoort harbour. This was part of an initiative to get more coffeeshops to open outside the busy city centre. Since this location proved to be hit, we decided it only made sense to take it one step further and open a Grand Café here as well.

The Bulldog Harbour opened very recently, on July 1^st 2020, 5 years after opening Port.

Despite being away from the centre of Amsterdam, you can reach Westpoort harbour and our Grand Café very easily. Either come by car from the A10 ring highway to enjoy our ample free parking, or go Dutch and take a short trip by bicycle from Sloterdijk station.

Of course! Harbour Grand Café is a great place for families to enjoy a meal together. We serve a child-friendly menu, with favourites like fries, pizza, satay and many different soft drinks (even milkshakes!).
